Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving Tablescape

We had so much fun making the table pretty for thanksgiving. Lindsay picked up some guards from the store and we had a few candles leftover from her wedding last December. How has it almost been a year already?

We knew we wanted some fresh greenery from around the house so we grabbed a few baskets and some snips and headed outside to gather what we could find. We started with some shrubs I planted around the house and finally made our way to the cedar line at the end of the backyard. Once we found we had a sufficient amount of greenery we made our way back inside to set it up.

With both of our design backgrounds, we thoroughly enjoy decorating our home in our own unique ways. I tend to gravitate towards a more farmhouse / historical style and she lends more towards modern / industrial. Its interesting how our two styles really compliment each other when we work together on projects such as this.

We decided to layer everything by type starting with the place mats. Lindsay found these at TJMaxx or Marshalls a few years ago but they go with literally everything. The three candles were spaced evenly next. Then the chunky greenery was placed before the pumpkins. We sort of worked largest to smallest with the items and filled as we went. After the centerpiece was fluffy we topped the table off with the dishes.

A lot of homesteaders could care less about making things look pretty but we find joy in making our homes more aesthetically pleasing. Hopefully, you can find this post inspiring to make a gorgeous thanksgiving tablescape in your own home.
